Error message

  • Deprecated function: implode(): Passing glue string after array is deprecated. Swap the parameters in drupal_get_feeds() (line 394 of /users/fisherde/public_html/fishpitt.com/includes/common.inc).

Zabbix - Environment Mapping

I have known of the ability to map out environments and host dependencies, however I've never really investigated mapping in detail until recently.

The below map is a conceptual diagram of the deployment of our T1 application, the lines between the nodes have been configured right now to change if triggered events occur, for this proof, the triggers are defined to fire if the average ping response (over the last 3 checks) time is greater than 2ms.

 
To enable this, custom user parameters have been created to have the Zabbix agent deployed on the node ping remote boxes, and return the result to the Zabbix server. 
 
The below image shows the map when triggers have been fired, this enables us to quickly see what has been affected by the triggers, and hopefully be able to pinpoint the root cause.
